Well it began to become clear that this would be a great discussion topic of some songs that deal with dreaming a bit more indirectly as well. Some songs have dream in the title such as some listed here dreams at Songfacts others, more discreetly in the lyrics, as this favorite Beatles song of mine I'm only sleeping. Well, what do you think about this dreamy topic? I hope I'm not putting you to sleep with all this. <yawn> I'm so tired/I haven't slept a wink/I'm so tired/my mind is on the blink. My favourite versions would have to be by Sleepwalkers and Joe Satriani. Such a gorgeous song, it doesn't need lyrics to make it so. MuzikTyme Posted December 27, 2004 Report Share Posted December 27, 2004 I can think of many dream type songs but none IMO are as beautiful and as sleep inducing as Brahm's Lullaby sang beautifully by Aaron Neville: Lullaby, and good night In the sky stars are bright Close your eyes, start to yawn Pleasant dreams until the dawn Close your eyes now and rest Lay your head on my chest Go to sleep now and rest May your slumber be blessed. Certainly not to be considered as psychedelic as Too Much to Dream but nevertheless a timeless sleep song worth mentioning and a big thumbs up for Neville for sharing his wonderful voice to the young and old, as well as giving new life to Brahms' instrumental masterpiece. Purple Haze was in my eyes, don't know if it's day or night, you've got me blowing, blowing my mind is it tomorrow or just the end of time?
