Earth-Angel
Carl, as to question 8, would my answer of "Fly, robin fly" by the Silver Convention also be correct? It was #1 in the US on Christmas Day in 1975. Also, would "Boogie Nights" by Heatwave (January 1977) and Boogie Nights the movie (1997) be considered correct for question 7? miamisammy29
They were good guesses, Angel, but disco songs don't count as music.
Earth-Angel
But seriously?
_jr_
I had Fly Robin Fly, as well. Even though I forgot to enter. I had 9 right. The car commercial threw me off, because I was looking for songs from 15 years ago from this year.
Carl
Fly Robin Fly would also be correct, and you're probably right about Boogie Nights as well. We put questions like that in there from time to time where there might be more than one right answer. I should have posted those in the answers. Tenacious_Peaches
I just want to say that I took the new quiz and I got 9 out of the 10 right off the top of my head. I won't win because someone always gets all of them right, but I didn't want to cheat and look up the answer. ...patting myself on the back... Hurray for me! ::
_jr_
Which one didn't you know? I looked at it briefly, and knew a bunch. I forgot to take last month's.
Tenacious_Peaches
"What U2 song mentions a US radio station in the lyrics?" Leave it to Bono to screw up my victory. ::
Paul Gilbert
Q8: Disco Duck by Rick Dees And His Cast Of Idiots is another valid answer.
Aunt_Acid
Dazed And Confused is also a good answer, but not what we were looking for. How could that not be counted as right? It fits all of the criteria.
Carl
Dazed And Confused is a Rock classic, but it was not a "hit." We have to make judgment calls on these a lot. Watch "Jeopardy" sometime, and you'll see how often they have to go to judges and figure out if an answer they didn't have in mind is right. Coming up with good questions is not easy.
