I always hate doing this because I always leave someone important out but here are a few more..... Hal David (Baccharach's lyricist) deserves a mention. Sammy Cahn, too. Canadienne Jennifer Warren has written some great songs for gal singers. Back in the late 60's/early 70's the late Linda Creed was turning out hit after hit for the Philadelphia International label. Smokey's contemporaries Holland, Dozier, and Holland were a hit making machine for Motown. Curtis Mayfield penned many great songs. Country? How about Bob Gibson?
