Addictedtoclassic
Moondance Jam is the largest classic rock concert bash in the Midwest located in Walker, MN about 30 minutes Southeast of Bemidji and 3 hours (or so) Northwest of the Twin Cities. It consists of 4 days of music and 5 days of camping (including the last Sunday when you have to pack and leave) This year it happens from Wednesday July 13 until Sunday July 17. Last year there was 20 bands on the main stage and another 20 bands on the regional stage. Here's a partial list of the bands that played last year. Lynyrd Skynyrd ZZ Top Allman Brothers Band Little Feat Rick Springfield Pat Benatar Gregg Rollie (from Santana) Chris Robinson and the New Earth Mud Huey Lewis and the News John Waite and many others. Well, they have just signed their first two bands for this upcoming year. Grand Funk Railroad Savoy Brown The theme this year is four decades of rock where Wednesday will be 60's, Thursday 70's, Friday 80's, and Saturday 90's. The cost is $110 for a four day concert pass until April 15 and then $130 until the show. Camping is $60 or $65 for a four day general camping pass with reserved adding a deposit and RV electrical hook-ups adding another big deposit. Last year yielded around 65,000 people with ages (not including children with their parents) from 16 to 65. It is the absolute greatest time in the world and those living in the area should investigate and see if you can take the time off. I GUARENTEE you will not be let down. I'll post more updates as more bands get signed. For more information... Moondance Jam
