CaptainMikeRS
This is my thirteenth song, progressive rock melody. "Tears of a Higher Monarchy" (Written December 6, 2004 by Mike R. Smale © 2004) Hark the cry of the bells, singing to the towns and dells. The sun rising towards the sky while an empire's life soars by. The winds and surf erode the shore, the golden ship cracks as it moors. The lighthouse stands throughout the time, now bathed in the ocean's grime. A man sits upon a rusty throne, as the kingdom he once owned is pulled below the earth. An ancient dragon in flight, so quickly wears and falls. Once skilled knights, lack in will, and there are intruders at the walls. A man sits on a rusty throne, and stares at the kingdom he once owned as it's sucked beneath the sea. The King lies icy in his bed, and the crown shatters to the floor. An old man rests on a rusty throne, and the kingdom he once owned dwindles into time. Aunt_Acid
I like it. It really is good, and I think it would sound great with music.
Jenny
Very good, Mike. Is it loosely based on the legend of Atlantis?
CaptainMikeRS
Very good, Mike. Is it loosely based on the legend of Atlantis? Actually, it's a continuation of a song my sister wrote before she passed away called Atlantis, but I writing it with the French Revolution in mind, since I read A Tale of Two Cities for school, but it's up to the reader really.
