edna
...oh, "Hey Bulldog", of course... it was originally in the "Yellow Submarine" album, I guess that´s why it´s an underated and less known song...
_Annabelle_
Yeah "Hey Bulldog" is underrated...great tune. 'Here,There, and Everywhere.' It's just such a beautiful song. I love this song, very sweet and delicate, its one of my favorites from Revolver. Good choice.

_Annabelle_
yes but eleanor rigby is on revolver.... That's a good one too, but not really one of my favorites... Another excellent song, IMO, also from Revolver, that I don't think has been mentioned yet is "For No One". A very lovely tune, beautiful lyrics and vocals by Paul, with a nice french horn solo by Alan Civil. I always found this one quite sad and touching. "Your day breaks, your mind aches You find that all her words of kindness linger on When she no longer needs you She wakes up, she makes up She takes her time and doesn't feel she has to hurry She no longer needs you And in her eyes you see nothing No sign of love behind the tears Cried for no one A love that should have lasted years You want her, you need her And yet you don't believe her when she said her love is dead You think she needs you And in her eyes you see nothing No sign of love behind the tears Cried for no one A love that should have lasted years You stay home, she goes out She says that long ago she knew someone but now he's gone She doesn't need him Your day breaks, your mind aches There will be times when all the things she said will fill your head You won't forget her And in her eyes you see nothing No sign of love behind the tears Cried for no one A love that should have lasted years" As others have said though, they had lots of great songs so its very difficult to choose only a few, let alone one. edna
"For no one" is one of the most beautifull songs of McCartney. My favourite is "Things we said today" (McCartney´s, I mean...)
Ringrrl
i would say either "for no one" or "something"(but i'm partial to the anthology version) Both of those are sooooooo emotional. and if you actually read the lyrics to each of them, you just...they move you... Kevin
Without a doubt " You Never Give Me Your Money" where you hear such a variety of Beatle styles in a single tune, it isn't often a top-'o the -mind choice and ,well- -- it rocks ! I am the flying pig
"I'm Looking Through You" on Rubber soul. It's my fav for more personal reasons. When i was driving my mom to the hospital and the sun was just rising, but my mother was crying because she was about to have major surgery to where the odds of surviving weren't too high. But this song came on and i put my hand on her shoulder and we both started to sing this. Since then, this has been my favorite beatles song. nobody_home
I have no particular favorite. Come Together - gotta love those lyrics. Here Comes the Sun - just seems like a perfectly written song. George was the best Beatle.
