jman14141414
I'll pass on CeeCee's song and do Batman's song... It just flat out rocks and is more nihilistic than any Sex Pistols song(beside Bodies.) By the way it's Search and Destroy, Seek and Destroy is by Metallica. katie_sane
'End Of The Night' is off The Doors debut album 'The Doors', released in January 1967. Some of the lyrics were inspired by the French novel 'Journey To The End Of The Night'. The song is about a journey into the unknown. Uncle Joe
Clarence wants to make time with some other guy's girl. A little tryst at the No-Tell Motel. Many of Clarence's songs never made the airwaves. This is actually one of his milder ones. Shambala-Three Dog Night.

katie_sane
Written by George Harrison as a tribute to his friend Eric Clapton's chocolate addiction. Many of the lyrics come from the print on a box of Mackintosh's Good News Chocolates. All the names of the chocolates used in the song (except for cherry cream and coconut fudge) are authentic. Kevin
EA , I wouldn't mind in the least if this thread was put in the game section . However , when devising it , I thought it was a simple opportunity to accumulate music facts/ trivia / opinions etc. about particular songs, and though I used the word 'game' in the title ... I don't think it has any game-ish qualities .

Earth-Angel
Sure thing Kevin, it was just a shame it slipped back a couple of pages - it's a good thread! I don't know that song by T-rex, I've just started listening to them after reading one of Katie's "What song are you listening to now?" posts. So thank you Katie, T-rex are good, I really like what I've heard so far (Ballroom of Mars and Bang a gong)! Kevin
The major , and only hit (I think ) , for a group that seemed to disappear soon after . One of those early '80s tunes that rarely comes to mind, but still seems to find its way onto oldies radio play quite regularly . A catchy tune that I enjoy still today and is a good example of the New Wave 80's 'sound' , IMO . 1979 -- The Smashing Pumpkins
