"The Rowan Tree" from the movie "Living" (2022)

[Otokichi]

I searched HBO and Showtime for movies to watch. As usual, FX Movies came through with TWO worthwhile 2022 movies. Both are remakes done very well: "See How They Run" and "Living." Billy Nighy's version of "The Rowan Tree" is...subpar, so here's a better performance:

Kenneth McKellar and the accompanying orchestra pour out the emotion in this Scottish Folk song...

When I read the synopsis for "Living," the 1952 Japanese movie, 'Ikiru" came to mind. "Ikiru" was the first non-linear movie I ever saw, but "Living" is the linear English language version, set in 1953 London. It's a slow-moving movie, for people who need to slow down.;)
