Earth-Angel Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 I've just got back from lunch and while I was sitting in the pub, I heard a great song that I've never heard before by an artist I didn't recognise. It seems to be a newish song, sung by a solo male. It's sortof a soft rock song, and the lyrics I caught in the chorus were "it's over". He sang different things before the "it's over" bit like "because" and "you say" etc. The music video is 2 guys on a road trip across the states and the singer keeps seeing this semi naked girl in the haze of the sun. He walks around videotaping all the scenery and there is a scene at a gas station and one where the other guys drives the car around and makes donuts in the dirt. If anyone knows what this song is and who the artist is - I'd be most greatful! I have googled the lyrics (of course) but there are so many hits it'd take someone who knew the song to solve my dilemma! Cheers in advance ::
Earth-Angel Posted November 14, 2004 Author Report Posted November 14, 2004 It's such a nice song too! I'll have to ask around at work tomorrow.
SoulGirl Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 i'll keep my eyes peeled n the music channel in the meantime!

marko90 Posted November 23, 2004 Report Posted November 23, 2004 OK. I've done some searching and this is the closest I can find with the info given tell me if this is it or not, I dont think it is, but worth a try. ARTIST:Synthetic Delusion TITLE: Pushing Me Away You pushed me away I won't forgive you this time You pushed me away I won't forgive you this time It was something it was something you had to do, so go your way and please don't ever look back, cause its all over, there is no repairing the mangled and empty, its for the good of yourself just believe me, I wish pain would reside so I can open my eyes an despise you put me back together, set my emotions for a long walk back to myself , I hate everyone that had a doubt, (All pain aside) Stay here And I see the day you walked away Hate you And I understand why you can't stay Stay here Don't pretend like you won't be remembered Get out of here now! What are you hiding? What are you keeping from me? What are you hiding? What are you keeping from me? Your poison flows through my veins, I will hide till I purify, no one will ever know where I've gone, my heart is as empty as it is cold, and I won't forgive you this time (All pain aside) Stay here And I see the day you walked away Hate you And I understand why you can't stay Stay here Don't pretend like you won't be remembered Get out of here now! What are you hiding? What are you keeping from me? What are you hiding? What are you keeping from me? Push me out I wont forgive you this time Push me out I wont forgive you this time Well you've made me stronger than you, You made me stronger than all, You made me stronger this time, You made me stronger
Earth-Angel Posted November 23, 2004 Author Report Posted November 23, 2004 Cheers for the song Marko, but it isn't that one It definitely goes "it's over" and somewhere in the verses it says something like "I fell truly, madly, deeply". Everyone can tell you - I'm the google queen, but I just can't track this song down... It's definitely newer than 2000, hope you can help me out man!
marko90 Posted November 23, 2004 Report Posted November 23, 2004 Well, I am trying for you, but it isn't working, the bands I have come up with are: Goo Goo Dolls Filter Jagged Edge but nothing that is similar to your lyrics you have posted here, if you could get me ANYMORE info, anything at all, it would be helpful, and I am sorry I have not found it yet, but I will keep looking for you. Marko
Earth-Angel Posted November 23, 2004 Author Report Posted November 23, 2004 Thanks alot Marko I know for sure it isn't Goo Goo Dolls. All I can remember is what I've already said...maybe someone will see the music video and remember me! ::
Addictedtoclassic Posted November 23, 2004 Report Posted November 23, 2004 The Google Goddess needs help from the peasants! Is this a rock song, pop song, slow, fast, up, down, left right...? Also, did you see the video on some sort of TOP 40 VIDEO countdown or anything like that?
Earth-Angel Posted November 23, 2004 Author Report Posted November 23, 2004 Like I said, it's a sortof rock song...not sappy like a ballad though. It was a single male vocalist, perhaps with another male voice as backup in the chorus of for harmony (not 100% sure though). It was in a busy pub at lunch time so it'd just be something that's on MTV at the moment. Like I said, if you've seen the music video - you'd know what I was on about! :: Peasents....
Opiate Posted November 23, 2004 Report Posted November 23, 2004 It sounds like a song by the band Mark McGrath is in...I knew it when I began my response to this thread and now it has escaped me. None the less, here is the song in parts because I do not know all of the words: When it's over That's the time I fall in love again.... {Chorus} And when you gooooooooo I know, it never ends...never ends All the things that she used to say All the words that got in the way All her favorite TV shows have gone out the window... When it's over, that's the time I fall in love again.... Anyway, I don't know, this could be the song....Why can't I think of the bands name?? It is right on the tip of my tongue!
Opiate Posted November 23, 2004 Report Posted November 23, 2004 SUGAR RAY That's their name! Oh thank God! I am not losing my memory at 25!!!
Earth-Angel Posted November 23, 2004 Author Report Posted November 23, 2004 Aw thanks Opiate, but it's not Sugar Ray. It's definitely more recent than that.
Opiate Posted November 23, 2004 Report Posted November 23, 2004 Sorry I couldn't help...I will wrack my brain just for you though! ::
Earth-Angel Posted November 24, 2004 Author Report Posted November 24, 2004 Sorry I couldn't help...I will wrack my brain just for you though! :: Thank-a-yoooo!
marko90 Posted November 24, 2004 Report Posted November 24, 2004 OK. edna Posted November 24, 2004 Report Posted November 24, 2004 Marko, thanks for posting this site, Lyrics depot... I had it in my computer and I had absolutely forget about it... I put "Netscape Search" as a title...
Earth-Angel Posted November 24, 2004 Author Report Posted November 24, 2004 Thank you so much Marko , but it's none of those songs either The only thing I can do is go back to the pub and hope to see the video again (they never have the artists or songs names though) and write down the lyrics. ~ 2 guys are in the car in the video but I can only remember the one guy being the vocalist. ~ Soft rockish balladish kind of song. ~ Definitely more recent than 2000. ~ "it's over" was in the chorus. ~ He would sing "because it's over", "you say it's over" etc. Well, if anyone happnes to see this, please pass on the artist's name and song title. Thanks in advance. ::
