Flibble12345 Posted November 13, 2004 Report Posted November 13, 2004 I sort of came up with this in the Creative writing forum but someone suggested I post it in here. So, it would be really cool if there was a way people could put up samples of their music. Sort of like the creative writing forum, but it would be a way we could share the actual music as well. Just samples, maybe 30 seconds long (to stop people nicking your songs). I know it would take up a bucket load of server space so it's a tentative suggestion. maybe there's a way of keeping the memory down. All clips must be 56kbps or something... Just an idea anyway. What do you think? :guitar:
Earth-Angel Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 I think that's a superb idea! There are so many great songwriters floating around Songfacts and I know for a fact quite a few have music to match their lyrics. If there was some way for us to hear the music, it might also help them out alot with their songs progression.
TheCyberdemon Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 I could finally contribute something to this forum then! I could post my recordings of my sick drumming, punk bass, and surf guitar.
Carl Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 I like the idea, but the music can't be on our server - there's no way we can give up the bandwidth. I'm wondering if there are places where people can post their music, and we can link to them? It would be similar to how we handle photos.
_Jayson_ Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 You could always make a website from freewebs.com , like this crappy one
