Polanski as a thug was cool :: Certainly better than most directors who cast themselves in bit parts (except for Hitchcock ). There are waaaay too many greatest films in the 70s. That's, like, 75% of Eurotrash and Eurosleaze films e'er made! Here's a sampler of what my faves would look like: Solaris (one of the best films ever made!) In those, it is only black people making fun of black people. In Blazing Saddles, both black and white make fun of each others races, which does not seem allowed too much anymore.
