I dont think any of them are satanists. Page did buy Alister Crowley's home. He was the leader of The Church of Satan, so I suppose thats where much of that satanist stuff started.

I don't THINK Crowley was part of The Church of Satan(he was an atheist).

And here is a bit of some interesting info..

Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page owned Crowley's Loch Ness estate, Boleskine House, from 1971 to 1992. It is also said that on some pressings of the Led Zeppelin III album, one or more Aleister Crowley quotes are scribed into the runoff matrix of the vinyl (the space between the last groove and the label.)

Quicksand - Bowie

I'm closer to the Golden Dawn

Immersed in Crowley's uniform

Of imagery

I'm living in a silent film

Portraying Himmler's sacred realm

Of dream reality

I'm frightened by the total goal

Drawing to the ragged hole

And I ain't got the power anymore

No I ain't got the power anymore

I'm the twisted name on Garbo's eyes

Living proof of Churchill's lies

I'm destiny

I'm torn between the light and dark

Where others see their targets

Divine symmetry

Should I kiss the viper's fang

Or herald loud the death of Man

I'm sinking in the quicksand of my thought

And I ain't got the power anymore

Don't believe in yourself

Don't deceive with belief

Knowledge comes with death's release

I'm not a prophet or a stone age man

Just a mortal with the potential of a superman

I'm living on

I'm tethered to the logic of Homo Sapien

Can't take my eyes from the great salvation

Of bullshit faith

If I don't explain what you ought to know

You can tell me all about it

On the next Bardo

I'm sinking in the quicksand of my thought

And I ain't got the power anymore

Don't believe in yourself

Don't deceive with belief

Knowledge comes with death's release

This may or may not have anything to do with the conversation...Crowley made me think of it. :googly:

Robert Johnson sold his soul to the devil in Rosedale, Mississippi...

Highway 61 is one of the roads at the crossroads intersection, not sure of the other one. I know 61 because Bessie Smith was killed in a car accident on that highway - supposedly not too far from where Robert Johnson sold his soul.

Where's Bluesy when you need him?

"And it makes me wonder...". Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin, just in case you didn't now. :beatnik:
