OK you cowbell fans; here's a little trivia for you. On the album A Scratch In the Sky by the Cryan' Shames Jim (J.C. Hooke) Pilster is credited as playing both cowbell AND backwards cowbell!

I bet you've already had something like this, but I'm attempting to make a cowbell CD, and I just need about 25 more minutes. Here's what I have so far:

"(Don't Fear)The Reaper" Blue Oyster Cult

"Walk This Way" Aerosmith

"A Hard Days Night" The Beatles

"Everybodys Got Something to Hide Except Me and My Monkey" The Beatles

"Taxman" The Beatles

"Rebel Rebel" David Bowie

"Time Has Come Today" The Chambers Brothers (major cowbell)

"Houses of the Holy" Led Zeppelin

"Good Times, Bad Times" Led Zeppelin

"Gimme Three Steps" Lynyrd Skynyrd

"Honky Tonk Woman" Rolling Stones

"Pigs (3 Different Ones)" Pink Floyd

just post a song if you know it has a cowbell.

thanks. :guitar:

I remember that Saturday Night Live episode with the cowbell and the band playing "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" and he was banging the cowbell so hard but his fellow band members didn't like it. Then Christopher Walken came out of the recording booth and said he wanted even more cowbell.

That was so funny!

You can watch that video HERE.

If you want to download it Google 'cowbell.wmv'.

Cheers.

A cowbell CD is not complete until you have the 10 minute live version of NewOrder's "Perfect Kiss" :drummer:

Chris Isaak and other Country-like bands and singers have cowbell, but don't get it mixed up with the triangle! ;)

Thanks, Brian.

I just checked out that site and I downloaded the video.

I used to have it on my old computer but the hard drive crashed on that and I lost everything.

That video is so funny!
