Elvish
Has anyone heard the new song "Over & Over" by Nelly w/Tim McGraw? See this thread Another that comes to mind is Loretta Lynn with Jack White on her new album, Van Lear Rose. What I've heard of it is actually very good. Can anyone think of more odd duets or collaborations? Give your opinions on them, please!

Jazzcat
Elvis Costello has done some things with unexpected partners. Burt Bacharach for one and I think he also appeared on an album by the late Chet Baker. Bowie and Bing was a classic. Come to think of it I believe Sting has had some unusual collaborations but I can't think of any off-hand.
Jazzcat
Oh hey, how about Run DMC and Aerosmith. Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson (bet Paul wishes he could have a "do over" on that choice).

miamisammy29
Who remembers this VERY ODD collaboration from a few years back? "Cruisin'" by Huey Lewis and Gwyneth Paltrow The singing wasn't dreadfully awful. But it was definitely a vehicle for Huey Lewis' name to resurface and make a few extra bucks (I think he was working at a Burger King in Torrance, California, until then. ) And I'm sure, for Paltrow, it was just a way to experience a childhood dream. She had just won an Oscar. NOW THAT'S ODD!
