moheybee
I'm sure you have heard of dmoz, the open directory project, which is used on a number of large website including Google. A few of the editors from the open directory project started MusicMoz. I'm sure you can guess what it is. I'm sure its been around for a while, but I just found it today while procrastinating. Anyway, I think a partnership between your site and theirs could be very, very cool. To get an idea of what kind of info they have, here's their page for Pink Floyd: http://musicmoz.org/Bands_and_Artists/P/Pink_Floyd/ Andrew
moheybee
Well, it looks like they follow the same motto as DMOZ. "All our data is available for use, free of charge, under the terms of our data use license." http://musicmoz.org/xml/license.html http://musicmoz.org/xml/ Pretty cool, eh? If you guys are interested I would be willing to help you with the XML dumps. Andrew
Carl
Andrew- That is a great idea. I'm confused about the XML. Can you explain the "dump" and what that's all about? Songfacts looks like it should definitely be on that site, and if you could help us out with it, that'd be a big help.
Sara
Hi Andrew, I actually have submitted Songfacts as a link multiple times and they've never put us on! If you figure out any tricks for getting listed that would be great too
