nobody_home
How about Better Off Without You - The Clarks You are sultry, dirty, soft and hard You are close to me but you're so far And I'm thinking of the time we spent together Now I'll bury this in my backyard Sometimes I sit and wonder But I'll never dial your number 'Cause I'm having fun looking out for number one And I'm doing all the things I like to do I'm having fun cause I knew it all along I'd be better off without you You are guilty, pretty, high and low You're a place to stay and a time to go And I'm searching through the things you left behind here Now it's time for me to let it go Sometimes I sit and wonder But I'll never dial that number 'Cause I'm having fun looking out for number one And I'm doin all the things I like to do I'm having fun 'cause I knew it all along I'd be better off without you Late at night you pick up the telephone Call me up and cry 'cause you're all alone I don't care Apologize for taking my cigarettes Now it's time to feel all the side effects Missing the life you had
TeddyB
Thankyou everyone! that has really helped an yeah im gonna move on... but not for a while! i love all of them, especially I'm Looking Through You! this is one i like at the moment - F.O.D ([bleep] Off and Die) by Green Day. Something's on my mind It's been for quite some time This time I'm on to you So where the other face? The face I heard before Your head trips boring me Let's nuke the bridge we torched 2,000 times before This time we'll blast it all to hell I've heard this burning in my guts now for so long My belly's aching now to say... Struck down in a rut Of dislogic and smut A side of you well hid When it's all said and done It's real and it's been fun But was it all real fun? You're just a [bleep] I can't explain it 'Cause I think you suck I'm taking pride In telling you to [bleep] off and die I had this burning in my guts now for so long My belly's aching now to say I'm taking pleasure in the doubts That I've passed to you So listen up as you bite this You're just a [bleep] I can't explain it 'Cause I think you suck I'm taking pride In telling you to [bleep] off and die Good niiiiiiiiiiiiight... :)thankyou. EdL
I was just listening to the Beatles first album from way back in 1963 and I noticed that two tracks, "Anna" and "Misery", might fit your situation. The best break up song of all time in my most 'umble opinion (as Uriah Heep might have said) is, "It Makes No Difference" by The Band. Anyway, I hope you're feeling OK. edna
EdL is right, Beatles have many songs of this kind. I guess you´ve got all their albums, so I don´t give you titles (Not a second time, If I fell, etc.) Hope things get OK for you!!!
mermista
You Wanted More - Tonic Love Is Tragic Love Is Bold You Will ALways Do What You Are Told Love Is Hard Love Is Strong You Will Never Say That You Were Wrong I Don't Know When I Got Bitter But Love Is Surely Better When It's Gone (Chorus:) 'Cause You Wanted More More than I could give More than I could handle In a life that I can't live You wanted more More than I could bear More than I could offer For a love that isn't there Love is color Love is loud Love is never saying you're too proud Love is trusting Love is honest Love is not a hand to hold you down I don't know when I got bitter But love is surely better when it's gone (repeat chorus) I got to pick me up when I am down I got to get my feet back on the ground I got to pick me up when I am down (repeat chorus) Hope that helps

mermista
It was the first one that popped in my head, probably because I had it stuck in there last night. I'm glad you like it ::
Earth-Angel
I remember it was on a movie soundtrack, but the album/single was never available back home. I haven't heard it in years! Aaah I remember it was on one of the American Pie soundtracks! No wonder I never bought it! ::
