We learned through his Facebook that Joe died today. His son posted a sad and warm text. I don't know if I should copy and paste or just let people say how much they loved him. I'll leave it up to you. My very first post in Songacts, was in 2004. My first answer was sweet UncleJoe's...  ❤️  ❤️

I do believe Uncle Joe was one of the first members to greet me on Songfacts. I mostly remember how much he made us all smile with his witty humor and his "no pants" jokes made me laugh so hard. He loved picking on me when he found the opportunity to do so, and I didn't mind at all because he always made me smile. It's a pleasure to be a part of the Songfacts family, he was an Uncle to all of us. I loved chatting with him about his love for music, family, food, and life in general. It's amazing how our love for music has brought so many from all parts of the world to come together as a family and share our experiences with each other. Rest in Peace Uncle Joe....you will be remembered and missed by many. ❤️

Joe was a steadfast SF rock, always had a kind or funny word.  A gentle soul.  Although he refused to ever wear pants, that's one of the things we loved about him.  So sad, not to mention shocked, to hear of his passing.  He'll always be remembered as one of the Songfacts OGs, a true original. ❤️

Thanks for letting me know Elena, and Hi Laurie and Shawna.

Joe was a good friend with such a great sense of humour. I don't believe he ever had a bad word for anyone, and was an  example to us all. My condolences to his Family. I'm sure he is with God now.

Joe was a treasure. So sad to hear this news. I never met him in person, but his virtual presence was funny, caring, truly uplifting. So glad he found us and joined our gang.

I have returned to say farewell to our friend, Uncle Joe, who has moved on to the big fishbowl in the sky.  A man of wit and wisdom, and a friend to all who met him.  God’s speed, Uncle Joe!

Uncle Joe was surely one of the good guys. Always funny and friendly to everyone. (Thank you to Edna for letting me know about UJ's passing). You know, this Topic is like an actual wake. You don't see family and friends for years until somebody dies...then you realize you miss them all. I do miss you guys.

That is sad. He was a Philly guy. He was a good guy even though he never wore pants.

This is Phil. I haven’t posted in years. I still have my Songfacts T-shirt. Still fits.

RIP Joe

Oh man. This is sad to find out years later. I remember Uncle Joe's... uncle jokes. He came off as friendly and jovial. He will be missed. RIP, Uncle Joe.
