_Jayson_
If you are a Lynyrd Skynyrd fan, you might want to check this out. I never realized they weren't in the Rock and Roll hall of fame, but they deserve it.
MindCrime
It's pretty astounding they haven't made it in yet, I can't believe ZZ Top got in before they did. I'm also surprised to see the O'Jays, Percy Sledge & Conway Twitty (even though he belongs in the Country Hall) haven't made it in yet. Did Black Sabbath ever get accepted? I know they were nominated a few years back.
_Jayson_
Here is a list about it, and Black Sabbath does seem to be missing. Who decides who gets in anyway?
_jr_
The name should be "The Music Hall of Fame"
MindCrime
Who decides who gets in anyway? Obviously people who don't know much about R&R, I know it's a standard of 25 years subsequential to the debut release. Looking at that site though, it's a respectable list, & they got the greats like Jimi & Floyd in at about the reasonable amount of time. ::

Jugband_Blues
I'm not sure when skynyrds first album came out, but im pretty sure that the rule for the hall is that you cant be inducted until 25 years after your first recording or album. but now that would be '79, so i have no clue why skynyrd isnt in yet. Carl
As much as I love J. Geils, here are the ones I would pick from the list: Skynyrd U2 The Stooges (because half of all musicians list Iggy Pop as an influence) Gram Parsons (because the other half lists him) The Pretenders Please don't let the Sex Pistols in. Please.
windy1
Carl I like your list. I would put J Geils in though and take Stooges out. Favorite by J Geils: First I look At The Purse.
