_Jayson_
I'm not sure if this exactly fits, but maybe Don't Cry by Guns N' Roses. Edit: Also try "Patience" by GnR

Elvish
"I Remember You" by Skid Row "Ordinary World" by Duran Duran These two are a bit depressing - not sure that's what you wanted. ::
MindCrime
Those are two I was thinking of, not sure if Ordinary World is referring to remembering someone distant, rather than an ex wife who's taken into new vows with her current love. Elvish
I believe it is officially about a breakup, but I think the lyrics fit any "moving on" type of situation.
Jenny
How about "These Are The Days of our Lives" by Queen. The lyric seems to fit: These Are The Days Of Our Lives Sometimes I get to feelin' I was back in the old days - long ago When we were kids when we were young Thing seemed so perfect - you know The days were endless we were crazy we were young The sun was always shinin' - we just lived for fun Sometimes it seems like lately - I just don't know The rest of my life's been just a show Those were the days of our lives The bad things in life were so few Those days are all gone now but one thing is true When I look and I find I still love you You can't turn back the clock you can't turn back the tide Ain't that a shame I'd like to go back one time on a roller coaster ride When life was just a game No use in sitting and thinkin' on what you did When you can lay back and enjoy it through your kids Sometimes it seems like lately - I just don't know Better sit back and go with the flow Cos these are the days of our lives They've flown in the swiftness of time These days are all gone now but some things remain When I look and I find no change Those were the days of our lives - yeah The bad things in life were so few Those days are all gone now but one thing's still true When I look and I find I still love you I still love you
Uncle Joe
Jenny, that's a wonderful song. I always get a little choked up when I hear it. I imagine that Eddie Mercury is singing it knowing that he's dieing from AIDS. But the words really do seem to capture the feeling that Onlyone describes. WTG!!! Jugband_Blues
"Bell Bottom Blues" by Derek and the Dominos
Jugband_Blues
here are the lyrics: "Bell bottom blues, you made me cry I don't want to lose this feeling And if I could choose a place to die It would be in your arms Do you want to see me crawl across the floor to you? Do you want to hear me beg you to take me back? I'd gladly do it because I don't want to fade away Give me one more day, please I don't want to fade away In your heart I want to stay It's all wrong, but it's all right The way that you treat me baby Once I was strong but I lost the fight You won't find a better loser Do you want to see me crawl across the floor to you? Do you want to hear me beg you to take me back? I'd gladly do it because I don't want to fade away Give me one more day, please I don't want to fade away In your heart I want to stay Bell bottom blues, don't say goodbye I'm sure we're gonna meet again And if we do, don't you be surprised If you find me with another lover Do you want to see me crawl across the floor to you? Do you want to hear me beg you to take me back? I'd gladly do it because I don't want to fade away Give me one more day, please I don't want to fade away In your heart I want to stay I don't want to fade away Give me one more day please I don't want to fade away In your heart I long to stay" not to mention its also an awesome song

SoulGirl
how buout stilll in love with you by thin lizzy: Still In Love With You (Lynott) ---------------------- Think I'll just fall to pieces If I don't find something else to do This sadness never ceases I'm still in love with you My head, it keeps on reeling It's got me in a crazy spin Darling, darling, darling Is this the end? Still in love with you They say time has a way of healing Dries all the tears from your eyes But darling it's this empty feeling My heart can't disguise After all that we've been through I try my best but it's no use I guess I'll keep on loving you Is this the end? Now that it's all over, woman There's something I think you should know Baby, baby, think it over Just one more time before you go Call on me baby If there's anything I can do for you Call on me baby Help me see it through I'm still in love with you althogh i'm not sure cso there's a certain amount of resignation in the lyrics... see what you think... bella canzone tho!
