MindCrime
What does Jim Morrison mean exactly by this in the song The End, does anybody have any ideas? C'mon baby,--------- No "take a chance with us" C'mon baby, take a chance with us C'mon baby, take a chance with us And meet me at the back of the blue bus
Catherine
A lot of Jim's lyrics were like that. I'm not really sure what Jim meant much of the time in much of he wrote, but he sure knew what he meant...to him it all made sense. :: Rest his beautiful soul, and his beautifully twisted genius mind! MindCrime
Catherine I agree, I couldn't think of a better poetical-lyricist if I tried. He really didn?t need a valid reason behind his quotes; it astonished many & left them bewildered at the same exact time. Thanks for the response; funny thing is I honestly don't remember ever posting this.
Charlie Clown
I'd always taken it that that lyric was about asking the (presumably) girl to join him/them on a journey into a new society - free from the constraints of family, money etc. which the rest of the song seems to be intent on rejecting/destroying. Not a clue about the blue bus though. Can't agree on the quality of Jim as a lyricist hough - he was more a poetry of bloated self-importance. They made some great, great rock n roll records but that was despite his lyrics and personality. Only my own opinon though an clearly a lot fo people feel differently so don't take it too personally.
