MindCrime Posted September 29, 2004 Report Posted September 29, 2004 Everytime I post something or click on one of the links (open in a new tab) it automatically sends me error messages.
Aunt_Acid Posted September 29, 2004 Report Posted September 29, 2004 I tried to get to the last page of "What song are you listening to now" And all these error messages popped up. Mindcrime, in your bio it says "This user no longer exists" I'm not sure if you are aware of that or not. I assumed it was one of your gags, but that might have something to do with it.
Earth-Angel Posted September 29, 2004 Report Posted September 29, 2004 That happens quite often. Seems to be SQL error messages and when there is alot of site traffic. Also the site takes an age to open anything :: Guess it's just THE place to be! ::
Sara Posted September 29, 2004 Report Posted September 29, 2004 Did this start happening after you changed your name to nothing? I can think of many reasons a blank name field would screw up the code.
_jr_ Posted September 29, 2004 Report Posted September 29, 2004 In other words, MC_____, you screwed you.
MindCrime Posted September 29, 2004 Author Report Posted September 29, 2004 It's working fine now, thanks for the responses This has happened before though, so I'm guessing that wasn't the cause.
MuzikTyme Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 I can think of many reasons a blank name field would screw up the code. Or in this case, a blank mind field.
edna Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 That happens quite often. Seems to be SQL error messages and when there is alot of site traffic. Also the site takes an age to open anything :: Guess it's just THE place to be! :: Yes, I guess we´re so many songfacters that sometimes we kinda collapse the site...
Sara Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 I wish I had a straight answer for you all but I think sometimes it just gets flukey! Also, there have been times when the server hangs up and it has to be rebooted, the site isn't accessible during those times so you'd get all kinds of errors.
_jr_ Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 There you have it, Songfacters. (Or maybe it's Songfactors? Interesting thought...) The technical term is "flukey"
Carl Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 We are due for an upgrade, but I look forward to that the same way as a dentist appointment. We'll probably let them work the bugs out of the new version of the boards and then take on the challenge.
