Jugband_Blues
as many of you may know, led zeppelins fourth album, (led zep IV, zoso, etc) comes with the four mysterious symbols, shown below: each of the band members came up with their own symbol for the album. im pretty sure the symbol with three rings was made by john bonham, seeing it can be seen on his drum set. do any of you have a clue which members came up with the others, and what they could possibly mean. im pretty sure the "zoso" symbol is jimmy pages, but im not 100% on that. please help
_Jayson_
Robert Plant: The feather in a circle. His symbol was in a book called "The sacred symbols of Mu." John Paul Jones: The 3 ovals in a circle. Most likely represents unity and family. John Bonham: The 3 interlocking circles. Probably represents Man, Woman, and Child. And finally Jimmy Page's 'Zoso'. Jimmy Page is the only one who knows exactly what it means. He told Plant once, but he forgot. Hope this helps.
Jugband_Blues
thanks, i just hope that "zoso" doesnt end up being some satanic reference.
Malakin
I can't remember which, but the old rumor went that Zoso could've been ZoFo, not an s, but an f, and it could've been an old alchemy abbreviation.. Have to look that up..
Batman
John Bonham: The 3 interlocking circles. Probably represents Man, Woman, and Child. I read in a book called "Dazed and confused: The Story behind every song" that it resembles one of Bonham's favorite beer logos. I forget what beer, and it could be a coincidence

MindCrime
John Paul Jones: The 3 ovals in a circle. Most likely represents unity and family. I've also read that it allegedly symbolizes a person who is both confident and experienced. It also inexplicably appears on the front cover of a book about the Rosicrucians. Danielj
I've also read that it allegedly symbolizes a person who is both confident and experienced. It also inexplicably appears on the front cover of a book about the Rosicrucians. It is called the Trinity Symbol. P.O.D. used it on the cover of Satellite too. It is apparently something to do with Christianity.
incubusman89
The trinity represents God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit all in one. The three congruent shapes represent one of the three, while the middle represents all three in one.
