Danielj
I don't believe there is any sax in Dream On but the most memorable song by Aerosmith with a sax, IMO, is Same Old Song and Dance. That was it. I have that red greatest hits and the two songs come one after the other. Just got a bit mixed up. Thanks muzik

bazooka
Allen Toussaint (<) is an under-recognized musical genius, prolific songwriter and producer. His horn arrangments are lengendary. The saxophone work on Last Train and Country John from the "Southern Nights" album (1975) is particularly memorable. "Southern Nights" is only available on CD as a Japanese import, but both songs are included on the US "Toussaint Collection" put together from his four 1970s LPs. Eggplant
Mindcrime....I've never known INXS to use a flute. Hang on, I'm singing the song in my head now.... It's been so long since I've heard that song, I'm not sure. I would have to say probably not, as they usually just used the sax. I have seen Kirk play a soprano sax so that may have been what he used.
XXX
AJA By Steely Dan That's an awesome album! Any music collection is incomplete without it
bazooka
I'm not a big fan of Foreigner (don't like the voice of lead singer Lou Gramm), but I heard the song Urgent today and was amazed by the sax solo. No wonder. I checked and found the sax on that song came from the fantastic Junior Walker. Nobody's mentioned Junior Walker & The All Stars' hits Shotgun, (I'm A) Road Runner, and Cleo's Back. MindCrime
The worst song I've ever encountered with massive use of a saxophone is Tim Cappello's "I Still Believe". It was featured in the 1987 vampire classic "The Lost Boys" during the part at the fair, where he performed it live & had the crowd head-banging to his Michael Bolton like sax playing. I feel like I have been scarred for life ever seeing it, one of the worst performances ever.
behindblueeyez
I don't know if this has been said or not, but I think "Terminal Frost" by Pink Floyd does... TF has a bit of everything... :guitar:

MindCrime
Many Glen Frey songs have a sax, including You Belong to the City & if I'm not mistaken, Smuggler's Blues.
Carl
For no vocals, but plenty of good sax, check out "Lily Was Here" by Candy Dulfer. My favorite use of sax in song is Clarence Clemons when he blows on Bruce Spingsteen's "Rosalita."

DiggsUK
For people of a certain age, 'Stay Now' by Hazel O'Connor has truly soulful sax. Regards
Foxy
I totally agree - 'Will you' by Hazel O'Connor has a lovely sax piece throughout it and quite a long one near the end, very sensual song.
DiggsUK
Sorry Foxy, it is 'Will You' as opposed to 'Stay Now'. It goes to show the strength of the song if posters can recognise it merely from the fact that is has 'sax', even if I get the name wrong!
