Otokichi
What happens after you die? In this Japanese film, the first thing you must do is register at the intake desk. Then you're interviewed by a staff member who asks about your most favorite memory. Then the staff recreates that memory and you move on. Or not. What becomes of a person/soul who doesn't select a memory? Or selects a frivolous memory? How long can you stay in limbo at this facility? I was looking for a complete version of "The Summer Wars," or, failing that, "Tampopo." Submitted for your approval is the movie "Wandafuru Raifu," at a most interesting way station.. "After Life" (English subtitled). Edited July 27, 2020 by Otokichi Links break, so "Wandafuru Raifu" has to be found, again.
Carl
Afterlife that includes the vagaries of processing is intriguing for some reason. Maybe because it seems familiar. A great TV show that does it is The Good Place, with Sam Malone and the Veronica Mars girl.
