The Beatles' version was recorded between 1964/5. Not sure either...

I found the following info:

The Beatles first recorded a version of this song at their audition for Decca records on Jan. 01, 1962.

The version recorded for this session was a faster version than the one that Laurie posted.

The Decca audition recording of the song has never been officially released by the record company but can be found on many bootleg recordings that are out there.

The Beatles then recorded a slower version of the song on Jul. 16, 1963 at the BBC Paris Studio, London, to be broadcast for the eighth edition of the BBC Radio show Pop Go The Beatles on Aug. 06, 1963.

This is the recording that Laurie has posted.

This recording was released in 1994 on the album, The Beatles 'Live At The BBC', released by Apple Records.

Since we use release dates for the songs we nominate, the year would be 1994.

Here are the links of the sources I found for this information:

I struggled to come up with noms this week, but I went over the track list on my Ipod and came up with these:

Together - Harry Nilsson (1968)

Heaven Knows - The Grass Roots (1969)

My Own Way To Rock - Burton Cummings (1977)

Could someone post the videos for these, please?
