... And here to view Every Song That's made The Songfactors' Choice Top Ten (Songs)

* When nominations close, choose your favorite Ten songs in order of preference from the Final Nominations and post them here. Points are allotted, 10 for your #1 song, 9 for #2, Etc. and our Top Ten is compiled from them. At the end of the voting period we'll announce The Songfactors' Choice Top Ten For that week.

Lay Down - Strawbs (1972)

White Lies, Blue Eyes - Bullet (1972)

There's No Way Out Of Here - David Gilmour (1978)

I know Pink Floyd is in the TT more than a few times, but David Gilmour as a solo artist is not, so I hope that it counts. If not, I can switch it out later for something else.

Solo artists from a band count as their own separate entity. Mick Jagger has never made it in either, so he would also be eligible, just as an example. There was a time when Ozzy was nominated in one of these, even though Black Sabbath was already in.

In honor of Andy Murray's win at Wimbledon, 3 cheers for Scotland:

I'll go along with that. See how the Poms* jumped on the bandwagon. They embrace him as 'British'. !!!

* Pom/ Pommy: what Australians - usually affectionately - call the English.

Good grief! Sorry pink - but great minds, and all that. I commend your good taste, and will swap my song out. ;)

EDIT: Streets of Bakersfield - Dwight Yoakum and Buck Owens (1988)

A little Tejano for this past All American weekend.

Bluesy and I spent the past 2 days in Bakersfield at my dads place. We enjoyed a leisurely drive home - 1.5 hours trying cross a 10 mile section of the Grapevine. In 106 degree weather. And you know, gotta turn that air conditioning off to spare the engine on that stretch.... Good times. ;)

Lucky, you posted twice the link for The Strawbs. The Tube's vid has the Strawb's link so I posted the right one. Here's the proper link for "She's A Beauty" - The Tubes

Kenne, pls, remember to change Lucky's link for The Tubes...

One thing I would like to do before I leave here is to have all of the missing Tens in the Archive updated. If anyone with a calculator and a little time can help Brad and I, please let us know.

I've just changed Top Ten #326. The Great Pretender/ The Platters had already made TT #289, so it's inelibible. The new #10 is Down In The Boondocks/Billy Joe Royal. About time - it's been nominated about a dozen times before. I've updated 'Every Song/Every Artist'.
