Are Lotto Players Gamblers?

Is there such thing to lotto addiction like there is playing casino games? Seems like the only people that are gambling addicts are the ones that cant stop playing games like poker and other associated casino games.

Are bingo players gamblers too?

I feel as though playing lotto or bingo type games is simply recreation and not gambling.

If the stakes are low and you can afford it , then there's really no harm in any of the games you mentioned. However, yes, I think playing lotto/bingo weekly-or whatever regularly is- is a type of addiction. As long as you realize what the terrible odds against winning are, you may be better off learning and playing poker.

I also think consistently going to job interviews is a form of gambling, considering the cost of gas and the amount of people who are unemployed and competing in the open job market in the current economy.

Everything in life is a gamble, the difference lays in the odds.

And the danger is if you're betting money. If you're just playing for recreation (like a nice game of gin with your kids) and there's no reward involved outside of winning, there's no danger. Throw money into the mix and suddenly it becomes something a bit more seedy and potentially addictive.
