If we can't get people to nominate, we might as well just make up a communal list of songs (which we could add to continually) that aren't in the Ten, pick about 50 at random each week, and everyone vote on those ! It would take away some of the enjoyment, but we'd probably get more voters. Actually, it's a very practical idea. I know I've been allowed to vote a couple of times when I just 'dropped in', but the week before I returned (this time) I refrained from doing so because I saw that my vote would determine which song was #1 - and I didn't think that was fair.
