#332

ALL MEMBERS OF SONGFACTS ARE MOST WELCOME TO PARTICIPATE. The greater the participation, the more diverse, and more representative our top ten list is.

We'd like to invite everyone to help us select THE SONGFACTORS' CHOICE TOP TEN!

IT'S SIMPLE, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS:

* Nominate up to three songs that haven't made the Ten before ...

Limit one song per artist per nominator.

Click here to view Every Song That's Made The Songfactors' Choice Top Tens (Artists).

... And here to view Every Song That's made The Songfactors' Choice Top Ten (Songs)

* When nominations close, choose your favorite Ten songs in order of preference from the Final Nominations and post them here. Points are allotted, 10 for your #1 song, 9 for #2, Etc. and our Top Ten is compiled from them. At the end of the voting period we'll announce The Songfactors' Choice Top Ten For that week.

This won't win me any popularity contests, but... :P

If we can't get people to nominate, we might as well just make up a communal list of songs (which we could add to continually) that aren't in the Ten, pick about 50 at random each week, and everyone vote on those ! It would take away some of the enjoyment, but we'd probably get more voters. Actually, it's a very practical idea.

I know I've been allowed to vote a couple of times when I just 'dropped in', but the week before I returned (this time) I refrained from doing so because I saw that my vote would determine which song was #1 - and I didn't think that was fair. Of course, I'm not talking about regular participants who can't occasionally nominate.

"It's a Jersey Shore, back to the beach, holiday weekend at WRON and we're playing your favorite songs for the start of another summer down the shore" (imagine this in my best DJ voice)

Down By The Seaside - Led Zeppelin (1975)

Seaside Rendezvous - Queen (1975)

Wildwood Days - Bobby Rydell (1963)
