OLD 55
1. Handy Man - Jimmy Jones (1959) 2. Heat Of The Moment - Asia (1982) 3. Warmth Of The Sun, The - Willie Nelson and the Beach Boys (1996) 4. Keep On Dancing - The Gentrys (1965) 5. Don't Let Go - Roy Hamilton (1957) 6. Radioactive - The Firm (1985) 7. Sing A Song - Earth, Wind, & Fire (1975) 10.Born Under A Bad Sign - Albert King (1967) The thing I dislike about voting is that I can't vote for A song for everyone. I especially wish I could reciprocate for those who vote for my noms. I always feel guilty not doing so. Most songs that didn't receive AM airplay are usually not known to me, unless they're on my "Guitar Heroes" Box Set. e.g. even though I'm Australian, I guarantee that 95% of you would know more AC/DC songs than I do. Rayzor
That's because AC/DC were "underground" while down under (playing in schools, pubs, etc). When they started releasing in the UK is when they were "mainstream" & got radio airplay. Soon led to US & Canadian airplay. btw: I often know only about 1/2 of songs nominated but that's when I listen online & decide whether I like it or not, or how much I like it. I don't care who nominated the song as it clouds judgement. Edited April 25, 2013 by Guest
OLD 55
Hi Ray. You're probably correct. I used to like to watch Bon Scott and Angus jumping around the stage though when they were regulars on "Countdown" - sort of an Australian 70s/80s "Shindig". The only single of theirs I've ever bought was "You Shook Me All Night Long". I liked Skyhooks and Cold Chisel better than them. Goodnight All. :sleepy:
Rayzor
I have every single & album released by AC/DC & I've even got a Brian Johnson & Geordie album from the late 70's. I've been a fan since I can remember...

OLD 55
Votes updated. Just Lucky and any other 'regulars who missed nominating' left to vote. I was going through the (horse) racing form last night, and I noticed two horses - one called Lucky Songs and another Lucky Lucky Lucky. They're 20/1 and 30/1 respectively. Do you want me to put a bet on for you Carole ? The first one in particular is an 'omen' bet surely. I'll let you know where they finish in their races. Lucky
I'll vote soon - and place that bet Darryl. Long shots are "lucky" - and I've always been a long shot in one way or another!
OLD 55
Too late I think Lucky. But I'll let you know where they finish. I used to go to the Races every Saturday when I was single, but stopped betting when I had family responsibilities. I still like to follow them though.
