Sounds like it's about someone who's left her neighborhood, perhaps the not so brightside of town and joined the high class society and either her friends or family obviously miss her and maybe has chosen to leave them behind. In order to fit into a high-society lifestyle she's abandoned her old friends with whom she'd spent her young life (most likely schoolmates and neighborhood friends). Tom T.
