Brian from Suffolk, VA wins a cool and comfortable

He was the only entrant out of all entries with all 10 answers correct which makes him this month's quiz winner.

Here are the answers to the quiz:

1. Who was the first female singer to star in a #1 movie and have a #1 album (not a soundtrack) in America at the same time?

Dolly Parton.

She had the #1 Movie and Album at the end of 1980.

According to Box Office totals, the movie 9 To 5 was the #1 movie in late Dec. 1980.

At the same time, her album 9 To 5 and Odd Jobs was #1 on the U.S. Billboard Top Country Albums chart.

This album was not the soundtrack to the movie, so it fits the criteria of the question.

7. In the '90s, what Top-40 hit (on the U.S. Hot 100) had the name of a popular rock band in its title?

I guess we should have picked a #1 song instead of a Top-40 song, since there were so many of them.

We originally were going for the Nirvana answer, but didn't specify in the question that the title specifically referred to the band instead of just having a word in the title that matched a rock band's name.

Here are just a few answers that were accepted:

"Smells Like Nirvana" by Weird Al Yankovic

"The Sign" by Ace Of Base

"Rush Rush" by Paula Abdul

"Cream" by Prince

Songs with the word "Heart" in them.

Songs with the word "Kiss" in them.

Songs with the word "Yes" in them.

And many others, etc., etc..

8. What famous group's members were born on the Isle of Man and later moved to Australia?

Bee Gees

9. What Top-10 hit on the U.S. Hot 100 got its title from a movie starring Gene Wilder?

The song was inspired by the film Young Frankenstein, where the line "Walk This Way" was spoken by Igor.

Gene Wilder played the starring role.

10. What hit song mentions the TV show Dynasty in the lyrics?

"Kiss" by Prince and The Revolution (U.S. and UK hit)
