pinkstones
He's a whiny British singer who was famous in the 80s and knighted by the royal family for who knows what reason. Phil Collins wasn't knighted by the Queen. He was awarded the Royal Victorian Order (a quick check of his bio on Wikipedia confirms this), but that's not a knighthood. I'm surprised Edna hasn't heard of him. Surely she's heard of Genesis, right? He was their drummer, then their lead singer.
miamisammy29
I thought he was the guitar player for Def Leppard.

Shawna
I didn't get to vote this time. Didn't have time to listen to everything and figured it wouldn't be fair if I voted without doing that. Oh well, good list! I love that Boz is on top.
Lucky
'bout time! I agree Joe ... I thought that would be your reaction. I'm sorry, I got sidetracked today and forgot to put the new week up. I'll remedy that.
Brad_M
Boz Scaggs will have to relinguish the top spot to the Rolling Stones. I just noticed that Boz Scaggs already made the Top Ten in #289. Lucky nominated the song and it made the #2 spot. None of the songs from that Top Ten have been entered on the list yet, that's why no one noticed before. MindCrime
That was only a month ago The new #10 would be "I'd Rather Go Blind" - Etta James, which would bump The Cult's "Edie (Ciao Baby) to #9.
Lucky
Well holy crap, no wonder it was so familiar to me. Apologies to all, the every song lists should be updated, I'll get them done asap (no joke, before next weeks ten). Since the song went all the way through the process, we'll do exactly as MC mentioned. Lowdown is out, Far Away Eyes is in as the new #1. New list coming up ..... The Songfactors' Choice Top Ten #294 1. Far Away Eyes - The Rolling Stones (1978) 2. The Number Of The Beast - Iron Maiden (1982) 3. A Groovy Kind Of Love - The Mindbenders (1965) 4. Lucky
If you are interested in how the points broke down, since Lowdown is out, and we had a couple of ties, see below: Lowdown - Boz Scaggs (1976) 48 (out - already made the ten) Far Away Eyes - The Rolling Stones (1978) 41 Number of the Beast - Iron Maiden (1982) 38 A Groovy Kind of Love - The Mindbenders (1965) 31 Gone Away - The Offspring (1997) 30 Summer Wind - Frank Sinatra (1966) 30 Quarter To Three - Gary U.S. Bonds (1961) 28 Jump in the Line - Harry Belafonte (1961) 27 New York City Serenade - Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band (1973) 27 Edie (Ciao Baby) - The Cult (1989) 26 I'd Rather Go Blind - Etta James (1968) 23 If you are interested in how the ties are broken, the criteria is first, by number of players voting the song, second by vote placement (number of 1st place votes, number of second, etc).
