BrilliantDisguise
The 'Wrecking Ball Tour' is definitely proving to be an amazing tour. I knew going into the show that it would be a good one based on all the reviews by everyone and the setlist's. But I guess even though I heard that, I wondered how could Bruce still be performing at the level he did back in the late 70's and 80's being that he is 62 years old. So I expected a good show, maybe even a great show, but I didn't expect the show we got that night. It was fantastic and Bruce proved that he still has it after all these years. We sang and danced for 3 straight hours. The IZOD Center was swaying that night. You could feel it under your feet. The 2nd night at a venue is known for being the better show and by all accounts we definitely did get the better one. Bruce added 5 new tour premier songs...The Ties That Bind, Candy's Room, Johnny 99, Racing In The Street and Ramrod. During 'My City of Ruins' he paid tribute to both Clarence Clemons and Danny Federici and again to Clarence during Tenth Avenue Freeze Out, which was the last song. The part in the song where Bruce sings..."and the Big Man joined the band", the band stopped playing and Bruce held up the microphone while the audience cheered for a full 2 minutes during a video montage of Clarence. Here's the full setlist: 1. We Take Care Of Our Own 2. Wrecking Ball 3. THE TIES THAT BIND 4. Death to My Hometown 5. My City of Ruins 6. CANDY'S ROOM 7. JOHNNY 99 8. Jack Of All Trades 9. Jackson Cage 10. She's the One 11. Easy Money 12. Waiting On A Sunny Day 13. The Promised Land 14. RACING IN THE STREET 15. Apollo Medley 16. The Rising 17. We Are Alive 18. Thunder Road Encore 19. Trapped 20. Rocky Ground 21. RAMROD 22. Born To Run 23. Dancing In The Dark 24. Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out Here are some videos: The Ties That Bind http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TIJfKR7MQNE Candy's Room http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFMD4oWAFA4 Racing In The Street This was definitely one of the better shows I have been to and the night went so incredibly fast. I haven't yet gotten tickets for when he comes back to the Meadowlands for a stadium show, but I still have hope. The shows are now going well over the 3 hour mark and almost reaching 4 hours. If you haven't yet seen The Boss, I highly recommend going to a show. You will not be disappointed. Edited June 14, 2012 by Guest
