Carl
We didn't see this one coming when we interviewed Tom Gabel in 2010. He did say the following, however: "It's a complicated story really, most relationships are." Tom will go through hormone treatments and become Laura Jane Grace. He will also stay married, and says his wife has "been super-amazing and understanding." Against Me! is not a huge band, but they are an up-and-comer. Tom is also an excellent songwriter with a lot to say. He might be the biggest name in Rock to make this transition (no, Chaz Bono doesn't count), although a member of Jethro Tull did cross over from David to Dee around 2003. Lucky
Interesting. I wish her luck, that's a very tough situation for all concerned, but they seem to be handling it in the best way possible, being open and forthcoming about it.
Ombre Vivante
I think Walter Carlos is probably the most famous musician to dress like a woman and have a surgery to look like a woman. He know goes by the name "Wendy" Carlos
Farin
good for her! also I've been keeping track of the artist's Last.fm profile since yesterday and I'm positively surprised about the lack of trolling there
Shawna
I just read the whole Obama thread about how he supports gay marriage, and then read this (again), and it made me go, "hmmmm... how will a marriage like this be classified?" I mean, it's a male/female marriage at the moment, but if they're in a state that doesn't support gay marriage and they become a female/female marriage...?? Ombre Vivante
I've always felt I was a tall, white guy. From now on, others need to refer to me as "the tall, white guy." Don't be hatin'
