Carl
Drummers make very interesting songwriters - there's something unhinged in their brains that makes them think on a different level, and if they can contain it long enough to write a song, the results can be quite interesting. Aaron Gillespie wrote many of the big songs for Underoath, including "It's Dangerous Business Walking Out Your Front Door" and "Angel Below." He hit us with some song stories and explained how he had to learn hard rock in a hurry when he joined the band - all he could do was rummage through a Christian bookstore and hope for the best. Like many songwriters, his songs tell his story, and there's a connection to how he left Underoath to go solo. Aaron Gillespie interview
