MindCrime Posted August 5, 2011 Report Posted August 5, 2011 ALL MEMBERS OF SONGFACTS ARE MOST WELCOME TO PARTICIPATE. The greater the participation, the more diverse, and morebrepresentative our top ten list is. We'd like to invite everyone to help us select THE SONGFACTORS' CHOICE TOP TEN! IT'S SIMPLE, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS: *The criteria for this ten is that 1 or 2 artists of different bands or that went on to be solo is nominated one choice for the each part, a total of 4 nominations, regardless of whether they've previously made the list in a regular weekly Ten. You may nominate up to 4 songs, 2 by each singer * When nominations close, choose your favorite Ten songs in order of preference from the Final Nominations and post them here. Points are allotted, 10 for your #1 song, 9 for #2, Etc. and our Top Ten is compiled from them. At the end of the voting period we'll announce The Songfactors' Choice Top Ten For that week. pinkstones Posted August 6, 2011 Report Posted August 6, 2011 Kenne, I can just as easily change my nominations if you wanted to do that.
MindCrime Posted August 6, 2011 Author Report Posted August 6, 2011 I think everybody nominated songs already in, it'll have to do as this, it'll just be tough to choose from such a big list of known songs.
Lucky Posted August 7, 2011 Report Posted August 7, 2011 Take it to the Limit - Eagles Dirty Laundry - Don Henley The Sound of Silence - Simon & Garfunkel Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard - Paul Simon
bazooka Posted August 7, 2011 Report Posted August 7, 2011 I think everybody nominated songs already in, it'll have to do as this, it'll just be tough to choose from such a big list of known songs. Just a suggestion (and it would probably complicate things): could the winners be the artists with highest composite scores instead of the individual songs ?
bazooka Posted August 7, 2011 Report Posted August 7, 2011 [big][/big] Funk #49 - James Gang [big][/big] All Night Long - Joe Walsh [big][/big] Ball and Chain - Big Brother & the Holding Company [big][/big] Move Over - Janis Joplin
MindCrime Posted August 7, 2011 Author Report Posted August 7, 2011 I'll take you up on that idea, it'll just be a little bit harder on my part with the counting. I'm thinking of upping the votes to top 12 instead of 10 due to the number of nominations.
