Shawna
Mountain Heart form of bluegrass music has been around for over 10 years, and they are fabulous. With the addition not too long ago of Josh Shilling as a lead singer, though, they have transcended fabulousness and moved on to whatever comes next - and then some. Bluegrass traditionally is about the strings - which I like. But I'm a words person, so with Josh, Mountain Heart now has it all. He's soulful, colorful, honest, and has written what will probably be country's technological new-age anthem with "The Truth About Lyin'." Which, sadly, hasn't even come out yet. He's only 28 (I think) but he's an old soul. Nobody who isn't an old soul could sing with the honesty this kid does. His voice has a way of getting in and under, and you swear his emotions are yours. Have a look and a listen. Josh Shilling/Mountain Heart
