Hello there!

Can anyone help me find these songs, tried searching the net, no luck so far!

1. Come into my hideaway: Song goes something like this (lyrics may not be accurate..) Come into my hideaway, make it your own, stay till the light of day in my hideaway..

DONT KNOW THE ARTIST BUT VAGUELY REMEMBER CASSETTE COVER NAMED HITS 81 (MAY BE 80) NOT VERY SURE..

2.Little Darling: If I am not mistaken artist is SILVIO. Lyrics goes something like this: Little darling do come closer, let me hold you one more time, put your head above my shoulder, dry your tears and try to smile.

Can anyone help?!

Thanks

Ronnie

Ronnie,

I believe the first song you mentioned is:

"Hideaway" by Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich

They were a 1960's British group.

The song was a Top-Ten UK hit for them in 1966.

If the version you heard was on a 1980's compilation cassette, it may have been a cover by another group.

Here are the lyrics:

Hideaway (come on)

Far from the light of day (come on)

Leaving the world behind

And out of mind

A place we'll find

Where we can hideaway

Hideaway (come on)

Where we can go and play (come on)

Just like the kids in school

We'll act the fool

Break every rule

In our own hideaway

Come on baby, they'll never find us here

Made sure the coast was clear

There's not a thing left to fear

Hideaway (come on)

That's where we're gonna stay (come on)

In just a little time

You'll feel so fine

I'll make you mine

In our own hideaway

Hideaway (come on)

Far from the light of day (come on)

Leaving the world behind

And out of mind

A place we'll find

Where we can hideaway

I found the lyrics at this site about the original group:

Maybe this original recording of the song will hold you over until you can find the '80s cover version:

"Hideaway" - Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich

Ah, close but no cigar.

The lyrics were so close to what you posted that I thought it may be the one.

Hopefully you can find the song.

Keep checking back every so often, maybe someone else will find it.

If you find it yourself, be sure to post the info you find for all of us who are now interested.
