Lucky
** Top Ten "Special" announcement ** As requested, how about if we do either a New Artists Ten (songs by artists not previously in the ten) OR a No Number 1's (songs by srtists that have never had a #1) ten? The first being a tad more difficult than the second. You all can discuss which you'd prefer for the next few days. Sound ok? Good.
pinkstones
I decided to go back through all the TTs I've participated in (and there's been a lot!) and list all the songs I've nominated and pick a couple from that list that haven't made the cut, and give them another go. Into The Night - Benny Mardones (1980) {YouTube} Let My Love Open The Door - Pete Townshend (1980) {YouTube} A word about the video for my first nomination -- It's the only one I've ever been able to find for the original version from 1980, not the version from when the single was re-released later in the decade. The video is a bit risque, not porn or anything, but a PG-13 rating would be a safe answer.

Farin
some post-punk: Hit the North ~ The Fall (1987) youtube don't think I really understand the lyrics, but it certainly *sounds* interesting and some experimental / avant-garde: The Garden ~ Einstürzende Neubauten (1996) youtube You can find me, if you want me, in the Garden Unless it's pouring down with rain... I'm all for a "New Artist Ten," whereas they could be an established act, but simply have not had one of their songs in a previous SF TT.
