Carl
After Dan's interview with Charles Fox, I thought it would be interesting to pick a classic TV theme song from each of the last 4 decades and look at how they've changed. It gave me an excuse to track down the lead singer of Bowling For Soup, who does the Phineas and Ferb theme song. Here it is: TV Theme Songs the Last 4 Decades
Tenacious_Peaches
Awesome piece, Carl. I love me some Phineas and Ferb. The Peachlette and I sing it all the time. Our favorite part is "giving a monkey a shower".
bluesboy
To start out for the 1960s, we feel The Andy Griffith Show Gilligan's Island Bonanza are top shelf. Well, we'll have to do a cartoon theme song edition also.

Zabadak
Nice one! Living in the UK in the 60s and 70s, a lot of my earliest TV theme memories are home- or Europe-based, alonside some classic US ones. From the UK, we have Randall And Hopkirk, Catweazle, Quiller, UFO, Space 1999 and The Prisoner, to name a few. Europe gave us Robinson Crusoe. The US had many more, eg. Batman, Banana Splits, Sesame Street, Tomfoolery... I could go on. Always been a connoisseur, it takes a while for a theme to really grab me. I can't think of ONE from the last 20 years which fits the criteria of greatness I believe in... Cool thread!
