Lea
Not the normal kinda thing tho. Not the one by The Beatles or anything like that. Just a nice song you might dedicate to someone that might make them feel happy and thought of. I want to put it on my other kids FB she turns 25 today. We have a very close mother daughter relationship. She likes most kinds of music and loves the Cd's I make her so if you have a good idea of the kind of music I like it will give you a pretty good idea of acceptable genre's. I'm thinking of something about growth, life, changes, future etc. It shouldn't be that hard but my mind is cluttered with other things right now and I just can't come up with anything. I thought of The Circle Game by Mitchell but that one just doesn't feel quite right even tho I know she'd like it. Any suggestions you guys could make would be awesome
Farin
I noticed that the first songs I keep thinking of were either melancholic or downright depressing how about My Rollercoaster by Kimya Dawson?
Ombre Vivante
I have no idea what music you like. I also have a very short attention span and reading comprehension, and, thus, only read the title of this thread "This Is The Day" - The The Well... you didn't wake up this morning Because you didn't go to bed You were watching the whites of your eyes Turn red The calendar, on your wall, is ticking the days off The calendar on your wall is ticking the days off You've been reading some old letters You smile and think how much you've changed All the money in the world Couldn't bring back those days. You pull back the curtains, and the sun burns into your eyes, You watch a plane flying across a clear blue sky. THIS IS THE DAY -- Your life will surely change. THIS IS THE DAY -- Your life will surely change. You could've done anything -- if you'd wanted And all your friends and family think that you're lucky. But the side of you they'll never see Is when you're left alone with the memories That hold your life together like Glue "Days Like This" - Van Morrison When it's not always raining there'll be days like this When there's noone complaining there'll be days like this Everything falls into phase like the flick of a switch Well my momma told me there'll be days like this When you don't need to worry there'll be days like this When noone's in a hurry there'll be days like this When you don't get betrayed by that old Judas kiss Oh my momma told me there'll be days like this When you don't need an answer there'll be days like this When you don't meet a chancer there'll be days like this When all the parts of the puzzle start to look like they fit Then I must remember there'll be days like this When everyone is upfront and they're not playing tricks When you don't have no freeloaders out to get their kicks in When it's nobody's business the way that you wanna live I just have to remember there'll be days like this When noone steps on my dreams there'll be days like this When people understand what I mean there'll be days like this When you bring out the changes of how everything is Well my momma told me there'll be days like this Oh my momma told me there'll be days like this Well my momma told me there'll be days like this Oh my momma told me there'll be days like this Oh my momma told me there'll be days like this "These Are Days" - 10,000 Maniacs These are the days These are days you'll remember Never before and never since, I promise Will the whole world be warm as this And as you feel it, You'll know it's true That you are blessed and lucky It's true that you Are touched by something That will grow and bloom in you These are days that you'll remember When May is rushing over you With desire to be part of the miracles You see in every hour You'll know it's true That you are blessed and lucky It's true that you are touched By something that will grow and bloom in you These are days These are the days you might fill With laughter until you break These days you might feel A shaft of light Make its way across your face And when you do Then you'll know how it was meant to be See the signs and know their meaning It's true Then you'll know how it was meant to be Hear the signs and know they're speaking To you, to you

skybluesky
I Hope You Dance is good, or a little more upbeat is This One's For the Girls by Martina McBride.
Viaene
If I could remember title and/or artist I would post here an alternate birthday song (at least in my country it's fairly unknown). Maybe somebody else remembers: A dark male jazz voice (kinda like Louis Armstrong) sings Happy Birthsday, a very cool jazz version Edited October 11, 2010 by Guest
