Stuart
Hello everyone! My name is Stuart. I am looking for a song that I heard on the radio once. I do not remember any of the words or the melody or even the key, but I identify it by the rhythm of the hand clapping. I have reproduced that rhythm at this location . That rhythm occurs just before the refrain of the song. Can anybody help me?

Farin
Can you tell us anything else about the song, is it more Rock or Pop, recent or "classic"? apart from the link edna gave, I also found this one, maybe you can find something there

Lucky
Hullo Stuart. The clapping reminded me of the clapping in Stuck in the Middle With You - Stealer's Wheel. Don't know about the song, but the clapping is similar.

Stuart
I believe it sounded like a cross between pop and heavy metal, but I could be wrong. The reason that the clapping was so memorable is that it sounded out of place in its style. Remember: it occurs ONLY in the measure before the chorus. It begins on the downbeat: 1 CLAP, and CLAP, 2 CLAP, and CLAP, 3 REST, and CLAP, 4 CLAP, and REST. It is never stated except once each time.
