_Laurie_
I like most of these ideas...I love Lucky's idea of the "Class Of HS Graduation"....I also thought of nominating songs from the year we were born...that would be kind of fun too... skybluesky
Year you were born, I like, cause '75 has good songs. But 1993 is my grad year, and I'm not so into that
_Laurie_
'75 was an awesome year for music!
MindCrime
My graduation year was the worst ever in music, IMO but I'm sure I could find a couple at least.
pinkstones
2000 was right smack-dab in the middle of that teen pop hurl-fest.
Lucky
I think I've edited in most of the suggestions that weren't already in my intial post. We've got enough to keep us going for quite some time but keep them coming. As far as HS grad year .... 1974 was great.

skybluesky
As far as HS grad year .... 1974 was great. "Everyone knows rock attained perfection in 1974. It's a scientific fact." - Homer Simpson
_Laurie_
The music's great, the pot is fine, and we're the class of '79...
RockyRaccoon
I graduated in '09 haha. Not a HUGE difference in music since then.
skybluesky
Elvis Costello Bob Dylan The Beach Boys David Bowie R.E.M (maybe?) All great and should be done, but R.E.M. might be the least appealing to a larger TT audience. I would be appropriately enthusiastic though. I don't know about the Supremes by themselves, but a 60's girl-group special would be interesting. I agree. And I am adding - The Dawn of Rock and Roll (from about the '50s to be beginning of the British Invasion) The British Invasion Bubblegum Pop / Teen Idols
bluesboy
I like Lucky's idea too. High School Class of '
chutzpah
I agree with the graduation idea Class of 74 My high school years were the real thing Lots of drugs I really don't like to think about it but somehow I survived And the music was good too

Farin
just from my own personal stand they appeal a LOT more than quite a few others of the mentioned artists

_Laurie_
I know we have quite a few suggestions already..but can I throw in another idea I had?... It's kinda of off the wall idea...how about a friends and family special??....we could ask a family member or a friend to nominate a song..and we'd post it for them....I know many times hubby has said how about this song...etc...most of the time though I've said "Nope, sorry, it's already on the list"...LOL
Lea
Now that you mention it Laurie, I was going to nominate a couple a friend suggested for next weeks game. Maybe I'll hold off for a bit and save them for later
chutzpah
No way My wife would be nominating Barry Manilow,George Michael and all that other sweet stuff and I'll just have to be quiet (no nominations and stuff) Look,I love my wife and stuff but musically?I just try to find a middle ground So far so good but,if it's a one week deal I'll post it as long as everyone knows it's not mine
_Laurie_
Well Chutz, that's the fun part of it!....me and hubby have different taste in music also..well not all the time, but sometimes...hubby definitely likes the hard rock/metal stuff...but listens to other stuff too... pinkstones
Everyone I know listens to god-awful stuff. I'd be embarrassed to post them. I'd end up abstaining that week.
MindCrime
My dad's choice of music is closer to the overall taste of SF than my own, I'll probably nominate 2 songs I know he loves.
