Marvin Gaye

Popular in the 60's and 70's, Gaye's last Top-10 hit single was in 1977. After many years, he revived his popularity in late 1982 with the Top-10 hit single, "Sexual Healing". He was fatally shot by his father after a quarrel on 4/1/1984.

2. What group with just two members had a U.S. Top-5 album (Billboard 200 chart) in 2010?

The Black Keys

Their album, Brothers, peaked at #3 on the U.S. Billboard 200 Chart in May, 2010.

3. What famous American band broke through in their home country with a live album recorded in Japan?

Cheap Trick

The album was Cheap Trick At Budokan.

After releasing three studio albums in the U.S., it was this live album, recorded in 1978 in Japan and released in the U.S. in 1979 that gave Cheap Trick their big breakthrough in the U.S.

4. Of the songs The Beatles covered, which was their biggest hit in the U.S.?

"Twist And Shout"

The song was first recorded by the Top Notes in 1961 and The Beatles took it to #2 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1964 where it held that spot for 4 weeks.

It once again was revived in 1986 through inclusion in the movies Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Back To School. This time it peaked at #23 on the same chart.

"Angel"

Madonna (1985), Sarah McLachlan (1999) and Amanda Perez (2003) have had hit songs with that title.
