Was there a better decade for music than the 70's? The crowning culmination of the creative evolution that defined the 60's.

Everything after Floyd is #2's and in no particular order to be honest. Then we had groups of #3s and #4s, they just wouldn't fit :P

I think we should have been able to vote for them in groups of at least 3. That is the hardest list I have put together since I've been a member of sf :(

If "Tea for the Tillermen" and "Spinning Wheel" would have been nominated, I would have been hard put to name another album I didn't wear grooves in when I was a teen. All the rest are already here :D

I'd say that the 60's win in terms of the peak of contemporary music if you include all the main genres (rock, pop, blues, jazz, soul, country, etc), but I think the argument can be made that the 70's were the best decade for rock.

I agree, very difficult...Maybe just too much music for one decade (good music though)

The 50's and the 60's had...I guess of all music the best...then in the 70's it just went over the top...Hard rock, punk and disco

And out of all those albums nominated...only a handful that I've never had...and those that I didn't have 1 of my sisters did... Wait till we get to the 80's...It's going to be the same :headphones:
