MindCrime
Very nice, I voted for 7 of the 10 so I'm impressed Funny how Chili Peppers almost didn't make it in, because I think that's the only song on this list already in the regular 10, besides White Stripes. I don't know though.
TheLizard
Looks like, for the most part, the big-hitters claimed the top ten. The exception being the Plastiscines, which just validates something I've been wondering for a long time: four ridiculously attractive young French girls playing extremely catchy pop rock, why are they not one of the biggest groups in the world right now? Also surprised to see two of the more popular/critically acclaimed bands, Death Cab and Flaming Lips, so far near the bottom, but I'm really happy with the results overall because it seems like everybody got to learn something new about modern music. Lucky
*excuse me, but what does this mean? Is it just a typo? If not will it change anything in the results? Elephants - Them Crooked 31 and Vultures10 It's the same song, right? EDIT: I just did a quick count since Steel isn't around and "Elephants - Them Crooked Vultures" got 41 votes. I'm glad, 'cause I liked that song. Edited June 5, 2010 by Guest

Because they are French and they scorn your American need to be the best in the world.

With the way tied-votes is done, Use Somebody had the higher spot than Snow as it had one more person vote for it than the other. So Elephants should be #9 and Use Somebody #10 with Snow Hey Oh just missing out.

edna
Yes, but it's rock music. Rock is better in English. And we're better at pop and "chanson" (except for Jean-Patrick Capdevielle, a very good french rocker) Hey, very good list, Tim! .thumbsup: :
lonelyday
Wow, only one song I voted for is in the ten...and I almost didn't vote for it. Man though, those Plasticines are all kinds of awesome. TheLizard
@Chutzpah: Dude, buddy, Shannon was just making a joke. We often engage in friendly banter, this was one of those times. (P.S. You need to find the comfortable medium when it comes to quote boxes. ) @Peaches: I think (hope) I'm moving past the sad bastard stage in my life. Also, major props to da Admiral.
