BlueAngel
One of the most beautifully romantic songs I know: "Into My Arms" - Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds (1997) And I feel the lyrics deserve a full cut and paste... I don't believe in an interventionist God But I know, darling, that you do But if I did I would kneel down and ask Him Not to intervene when it came to you Not to touch a hair on your head To leave you as you are And if He felt He had to direct you Then direct you into my arms Into my arms, O Lord Into my arms, O Lord Into my arms, O Lord Into my arms And I don't believe in the existence of angels But looking at you I wonder if that's true But if I did I would summon them together And ask them to watch over you To each burn a candle for you To make bright and clear your path And to walk, like Christ, in grace and love And guide you into my arms Into my arms, O Lord Into my arms, O Lord Into my arms, O Lord Into my arms But I believe in Love And I know that you do too And I believe in some kind of path That we can walk down, me and you So keep your candles burning And make her journey bright and pure That she will keep returning Always and evermore Into my arms, O Lord Into my arms, O Lord Into my arms, O Lord Into my arms And for balance, a decidedly unromantic one "Mr. Hurricane" - Beast (2008)

Farin
Also I put up a YouYube vid for your Freak Power song. I hope it's suitable. I personally prefer your dailymotion vid it's pretty cool. I'm wondering if he actually let that candle melt on his head *ouch*. yes, thanks... I only didn't link to youtube because they didn't have the original video and I actually asked myself the exact same question about the candle on the head, when I saw the video for the first time back in 1993 One of the most beautifully romantic songs I know: "Into My Arms" - Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds (1997) [+ lyrics]

Really? not Victim Of Love ? not Turn To Stone ? Those seem pretty hard to have escaped. (Not to mention The Wonder of You, Behind Closed Doors, The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia. Definitely more Country-oriented, but seemingly ubiquitous.) But I'm a great one to talk. I was completely unaware of Bobby McFerrin's Don't Worry Be Happy until at least 10-12 years after it was number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and the Grammy Song of the Year. I have heard your O'Jays nomination before though, it's the theme song for Donald Trump's Celebrity Apprentice.
