Lucky
I'm going out of town in the morning, so I've been hovering, waiting for my results. I just couldn't wait to see them. To you all! I love my final 10, but more than that, I'm impressed by the love you've shown for some of the more off the wall songs. I know I gave you some listening to do. Thanks for indulging my country leanings too, I'm pleased those songs got some votes! (BA, are you a closet country fan? ) Anyway, thanks. Y'all now know more about who I am than a lot of people do in real life. That's a nice-un, and good to see Graham Parsons in there! I'm especially pleased with this one. I personally think this is the way Wild Horses was meant to sound. It's at least as good as The Stones .... I know, heresy! I almost forgot ... Thank you Ron. Both for your kind words & all your time & effort. Edited May 22, 2010 by Guest

Y'all now know more about who I am than a lot of people do in real life. Ain't that the truth? Some of those songs really speak to us as to how we feel, who we are, what inspires/motivates us, what gets us through, etc. I mainly like the classic Country sound (not so much into the new stuff), so I love it when some of those artists make it onto lists. I'm looking back at phil's list and there were some solid choices there

BlueAngel
I personally think this is the way Wild Horses was meant to sound. It's at least as good as The Stones .... I know, heresy! I was actually thinking the same thing listening to this version (I like the Sundays cover too). Though it is an intrinsically great song, I don't really care for the original. Apart from the chorus, it just doesn't sound "right" to me.
Lucky
The Burrito's version actually isn't a cover, it's the original release. Fan's of the artists' argue over who actually wrote the song, Keith & Mick or Gram & Keith. I don't get into that argument, but I do think Gram's country influence speaks for itself. Like I said, the Burrito's version sounds as though the song was meant to sound that way. To me anyway.
MindCrime
It was written by Mick and Keith. The Flying Burrito Bros convinced them to allow them to perform the song and it was released a year before the Sticky Fingers version. Lucky
Yeah well, there you go. That is one version. Like I said I don't get into it, but the argument has it's points on both sides if you research it. I'm fine with Keith & Mick having the credit, Gram was.
