Levis
I said the same thing about the Fleet Foxes and you all liked them didn't you? DIDN'T YOU? May have taken a year, but you DID. Listen to me, sometimes, jeez. OK, you have been warned. Tame Impala are from Perth, and I missed seeing them a few months ago, but I might see them next month depending on whether or not I'm here. Good god, it's like the 1960s all over again (except better). PSYCHEDELIC ROCK ok. Here's their most popular song and my current favourite - Sundown Syndrome Their debut full-length releases next month which is what they're touring for. I'm going to go listen to whatever of it I can find now - cheerio. TheirSpace
Levis
Here's a ratio/proportion equation: Fleet Foxes:CSNY :: Tame Impala:Cream
phil
Rad, I liked that tune. I wouldn't compare them to Cream, though. To me it sounded like John Lennon singing with the Allman Brothers, which is a good thing.
Lucky
Yes, YOU WERE RIGHT ( ) about Fleet Foxes, and guess what, I like this one too. It's not bad at all. And I get what you mean about the Cream - y sort of sound, as an example anyway. I'd even be willing to listen to more from these guys when you find it .... Levis
I don't know if they actually sound like Cream given that I know close to zero Cream songs, but I am basing this on reviews and descriptions and the major influences they list for themselves! TheLizard
Tim likes! But yeah, less Cream and more like something off of Nuggets. 13th Floor Elevators, maybe.
TheLizard
And the guitar solo sounds like it came straight out of "Light My Fire".
chutzpah
it sort of sounds like John Lennon with Santana and some early Pink Floyd...to me anyway
LarryJcbs
Reminded a little of Santana from a fairly early period -- maybe Santana III and Caravanserai. Plus just a touch of Golden Earring.
